On January 30, 2019 – Within the project of ” Developing a Sustainable Platform for Open Access Publishing in Armenia” Movses Hakobyan, Lawyer, IP and CC licenses Expert was invited to AUA Papazian Library to make a presentation on “Copyright and CC licenses: Types of CC license and their use for Open Content”
After giving a brief description of National Copyright law, focusing on limitations and exceptions for educational purposes, Movses introduced types of CC licenses, the usage statistics in several countries, Armenia included, and recommended the appropriate types of CC licenses that can be used for certain open content documents. He advised also redrafting policies and disclaimers for Dspace and conducting awareness workshops on CC licenses among students and faculty.
